Spring Onion Footed Glass Plate

Sale price€59,80

Like something dreamt up at a particularly stylish Italian dinner party, this sculptural platter by Ichendorf Milano turns serving food into a tiny work of theatre.

Part of the wonderfully imaginative Vegetables collection designed by Alessandra Baldereschi, the piece balances playful fantasy with elegant Italian design. The tall hand blown glass stem, shaded in soft leafy green, feels almost as if a delicate vegetable shoot suddenly decided to become a cake stand for the evening.

Perfect for serving pastries, fruit, little desserts or aperitivo bites, though quite frankly it looks just as fabulous standing empty on a table catching the light like a small contemporary sculpture. It has that rare quality of being both sophisticated and slightly eccentric, which we always think makes a home infinitely more interesting.

Each Ichendorf Milano piece is handcrafted, meaning tiny variations and subtle differences are all part of its charm. No rigid factory perfection here, thankfully. Just beautiful blown glass with personality.

We especially love it mixed amongst antique ceramics, old silver and wildly mismatched tableware, where it looks as though it has wandered into the room from another era entirely, albeit a far more playful one.
