Antique French 19th Century Louis Philippe style gold gilt mirror with an elegant small crest, a "faux" ribbon frame and an inner rim edged with a classic 'string of pearls' motif.
This beautiful antique French gold gilt mirror has the typical rounded upper corners that make it a Louis Philippe mirror.
The mirror has its original mirror plate and wooden back cladding. The gold leaf gilding shows some slight red bole through the gilding, giving the gold color a warm touch.
The mirror frame is structurally healthy and the glass is still in a very good good condition. The antique mirror has slight imperfections caused by wear and age, but is in a general very fine state.
The looking glass has a couple of very tiny spots, all part of the mirrors authentic look and charm. A wonderful preserved piece!

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use. We restore our pieces so they will be clean and in a good working condition. However we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
