Antique French Gold Gilt Mirror with an Elegant Foliage Crest, Circa 1880
This stunning large antique mirror dates back to France, circa 1880, and is crowned with a beautifully ornate crest adorned with delicate foliage.
The gold gilt frame is structurally sound, with a classic "string of pearls" motif accentuating the inner rim for an elegant touch. Subtle hints of red bole peek through the gold leaf gilding, lending a warm depth to its rich golden hue and flower and leaf etchings.
Retaining its original mirror plate and wooden back cladding, the glass remains in excellent, clear condition, showing only some tiny weathered spots that add to its charm. Generously sized, this mirror can stand on the ground, offering a full-length reflection.

All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use. We restore our pieces so they will be clean and in a good working condition. However we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
