Classic Opinel No.112 Stainless Steel Paring Knives Set
Opinel Paring Knives — Les Petites Légendes of the Kitchen
There are kitchen tools… and then there are Opinels. The discreet aristocrats of the cutlery drawer. Born in the French Alps and raised on good taste, they carry themselves with that effortless nonchalance only the French seem to master. No drama. No theatrics. Just perfect proportion, a razor-keen blade, and a handle that feels like it was carved for your hand alone. Très chic.
Smaller than a chef’s knife but infinitely persuasive, the paring knife is the quiet overachiever. It dices shallots with surgical precision, trims mushrooms like a couture tailor adjusting a hem, and peels apples in one elegant spiral when your peeler has mysteriously vanished. Consider it the little black dress of your kitchen arsenal: modest in size, formidable in effect!
Durable, practical, endlessly handsome. Utility wrapped in understatement.
A Touch of History, naturellement!
In 1890, high in the Savoie, Joseph Opinel imagined a folding knife for Alpine farmers. Simple, ingenious, beautifully resolved. It quickly became a national icon, as recognisable in France as a fresh baguette tucked under the arm.
And this set of four? C’est parfait. A whisper of countryside elegance for your countertop.
One is practical.
Two is sensible.
Three is a collection.
Four is perfection.
Once you welcome an Opinel into your kitchen, restraint becomes… theoretical.
Please note: The knives in the set are with red, violet, sage and forest green handles!
Voted best budget paring knives by Bon Appetit!
