A Letterpress Delight: Vintage Stamp Matchbox

We’ve been devoted admirers of Archivist Gallery’s matchboxes for years—lavishly sized, beautifully designed, and perfect for igniting not just one, but a whole constellation of candles at once.

This exquisite matchbox features a design by the talented Ariane Butto, inspired by the timeless elegance of a vintage stamp. Crafted as a letterpress matchbox, it’s a miniature work of art for your mantelpiece: practical, charming, and utterly unique. Whether gifted to a friend, a loved one, or kept as a cheeky treat for yourself (because why not?), it brings a touch of whimsy and joy to any home.

Archivist Gallery
Founded in 1994 by Sarah and William Allardice, Archivist Gallery began by resurrecting stunning prints from the archives of the Natural History Museum. Since then, they’ve collaborated with artists and archives worldwide, creating a delightful collection of prints, cards, and, of course, their iconic luxury matches.

And because beauty should never come at a toxic price, these matches are completely free from sulphur, zinc oxide, or any harmful nasties—just pure, elegant fire.

Tip: Their generous length makes them perfect for lighting deep, scented candles without singeing your fingertips.

SKU: Deco-Archivist-Matches-Birdy-Stamp
