Antique French Brass Candlesticks
We have long collected antique French brass candlesticks with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. One becomes two, two somehow become twelve, and before you know it the entire dining table is glowing like a slightly decadent 19th century supper party.
These wonderful antique candle holders were made in France around 1880 and possess exactly the sort of quiet elegance that never goes out of style. Their forms are wonderfully classic, though each one carries its own subtle differences and personality.
What we especially love is the adjustable mechanism, allowing the candle height to shift with a charming little brass knob.
Grouped together down the centre of a table, they create the most magical atmosphere once lit. Flickering brass, soft reflections and dancing shadows everywhere. Suddenly even a Tuesday evening pasta feels vaguely aristocratic.
As true antiques, they show gentle wear and soft scratches consistent with age, all part of their history and charm. Each piece has been polished and carefully checked to ensure it remains in good working condition.
The price is for one candlestick, though we fully encourage building a wonderfully mismatched collection. After all, candlesticks are rather like dinner guests: things become far more interesting in larger numbers.

General condition
Please keep in mind that in many cases we sell vintage and antique pieces. None of these pieces should be considered new or in perfect condition.
All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use. We restore our pieces so they will be clean and in a good working condition. However we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.

The physical object can differ slightly in colour from the object as presented online. We have made every effort to display colours accurately, but cannot guarantee that the pictures accurately reflect the colour of those goods in real life.
