Very large French 19th Century gilt wood Louis Philippe mirror with large, finely-carved bow cartouche.

This mirror has the typical rounded upper corners that make it a Louis Philippe mirror.

The glass is authentic to this mirror and in very good condition. The mirror glass shows some nice foxing. The mirror contains the original wooden back cladding,

In many case we don’t know who the pervious owners of the mirrors are that we are selling. With this mirror we do know! As we collected the mirror ourselves from a wonderful maison close to Carcassonne in the South of France. It is not often to know the exact history of a mirror and to find such a wonderfully well-preserved example!
