In his celebrated series \u003cem\u003eCódigo de la Estructura de la Luz\u003c\/em\u003e (CEL), meaning “Code of the Structure of Light”, he transformed the colour spectrum into \u003cstrong\u003ea personal visual language\u003c\/strong\u003e, using mathematical principles to create compositions where colour, space and form enter into a delicate conversation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough born in Cuba, Balart’s artistic journey took him from Havana to New York and eventually to Madrid, where he became one of the important voices of \u003cstrong\u003eConcrete Art\u003c\/strong\u003e.
