Napoleon III Coral Linen Salon Chair & Tufted Footstool
Petite Aristocracy: Who says grandeur needs to be grand?
Meet this 19th-century Napoleon III salon chair and its delightfully tufted footstool—two petite power players swathed in a sumptuous coral-red linen that whispers Provençal sunsets and vintage French élan.
A Colour Crush in Coral
Reupholstered in heavyweight 100% linen the shade of sun-warmed terracotta after a summer rain—a perfect soft brique tone, just the right amount of unexpected.
History, Woven In
The salon chair wears its age with pride. Its exposed frame still bears the delicate constellation of pinholes from decades of past upholsteries—an homage to its lived-in beauty. We left them visible, because let’s be honest: flawless is forgettable.
Restored, Refined, Ready for Repose
Underneath the elegant exterior lies a fully renewed foundation: all belts replaced, the seat wonderfully supportive again. The footstool? Originally a solo act, now a scene-stealer. Tufting restored, castors rolling smoothly—it’s ready to charm its way into any room.
Small-Space Stars
Perfect for tucking into a fireside nook or dressing up a quiet reading corner, this duo is tailor-made for life in bijoux city flats or countryside salons alike. Bonus: the footstool doubles effortlessly as an impromptu perch for your guests.
The Napoleon III Period: Where Furniture Got Flirty
Think of this era as furniture’s fashion revolution. Pieces became more sculptural, more playful, and infinitely more decorative. Petite sofas, curvy tables, flirty footstools—this was the golden age of perfectly petite proportions.
This coral-clad couple brings bold personality and just the right dash of history—perfectly proportioned for modern living with a nod to old-world glamour. Proof that small can, in fact, be très grand.
