19th Century French yellow glazed terracotta bowl or tian, France circa 1850-1900. Great piece of pottery from the Provence. Beautiful soft yellow color.
A French Provincial yellow glazed terracotta bowl from the mid-19th century, with two handles and pouring lip. Created in France, this pottery bowl features a circular body, boasting a soft yellow glaze on the interior and upper exterior, while the tapering belly is unfinished. The piece is flanked with lateral handles and accented with a pouring lip. With its color and simple lines, this pottery bowl will bring a touch of authenticity to any kitchen or dining room.
Great wear and patina. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. The existing nicks and cuts give it its antique charm. Probably used for dairy or collecting olives.
