Vintage French Mobylette model or ‘cyclomoteur’ by Favor, type Mosquito, 38 cc.

This type was produced from 1946, a bicycle with a small auxiliary motor.

Favor was a French company manufacturing motorcycles, mopeds and cycles in Chamalières near Clermont-Ferrand. Founded in 1898 by Étienne Guillaume, it closed its doors in 1977.

The ‘cyclomoteur’ has a great authentic patina. The motor has been standing still for a long time. The engine needs to be cleaned and checked. It is not known if it still runs or not. The pistons of the engine are moving, which is a good sign. The engine is “loose”, not stuck. This model has been used for decoration purposes.

This is a great and fun project for any early motorcycle lover.

Condition: Wear is consistent with age and use. Overall good sturdy condition, with usual wear, and scratches.
