Modern abstract painting in red and earth tones by Antoine Pentsch (1925-2012), made in 1957. The work does not have a title as far as we know.

This is an early work by Pentsch, who made his painting debut in 1947. He would known for his monotypes with which he produced single-print works. However, in this early work his love for mineral colours, earth tones and dreamlike landscapes is already present. 

He has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions (Japan, New York, Staunton, Lexington, Chicago, Basel, Paris, Montreal, Calcutta) and became a Recipient of the Prix Gaspard Ecuador in 1994. His works are part of several collections such as the Toronto Dominion Bank, Quebec National Library and Archives, IBM and Loto-Québec.
